1. The Wiki is a Dominion of EaW and is NOT developed or maintained by the EaW Dev team. Don't bug the dev team about issues on these pages.
2. Be bold and feel free to edit to improve or fix the wiki. If you're unsure check in here to get the feel of other users, and then edit.
3. Strictly no shitposting. Specifically no unconstructive or joke answers to users seeking help.
4. The Wiki Wizard role is earned. The Dev Team may remove these roles from contributors who have stopped helping pages for quite a while at their discretion.
5. Please don't call @Cazzym the "Grand Wizard"
6. Due to winning the Lunar-Solar edit race in the founding age, this is a safe space for Lunarists, batponies, insomniacs and time zone challenged Australians New Marelanders
How to Help Out
- Unlike the Dev Team, anyone can help the Wiki team, and it may be a good stepping stone to working with the devs as well, as the more complex work can teach you to understand and work with HOI4 code.
- We have a range of jobs that need doing from all skill levels. The best way to help is to put your name down for the types of jobs you can do on this spreadsheet, and either claim a job on the Country Articles or One Offs tab, or ask other Wiki Wizards about pages that need the jobs you have put down for.
- We have a large collection of tools, tips and resources about working on the Wiki here
- We often encounter bugs, missing text, or just shit game design. Post in #bug-reporting-zone
- The TVTropes page is still new. Go wild with it.
Helpful Wizards
- Admin Wizards - @Cazzym and @Cijik The Cute Little Mare are wiki admin and may be asked on technical difficulties, spam or other issues on the Wiki.
- Wiki Code Wizards - @Cazzym can answer questions about Wiki templates, code, formatting, etc.
- HOI4 Code Wizards - @Cazzym @best75 have basic familiarity with code and can read them for questions about events, decisions, focuses and localisation.
- Graphics Wizards - @Siegerkranz can do some basic graphic design.
