After countless failed attempts to get her out of her tower, Viira made it clear that there was nothing in it for her. Ambrosius told her that if she left her tower, she would be rewarded with access to some of his most ancient forbidden texts. After a brief moment of silence, Viira acceded.

Crystal Rifle Experiment
For years, Leopold has tried to perfect what he calls the "crystal rifle", a rifle capable of running on magic instead of gunpowder. However, he has never been able to perfect it. Until now, that is. Gather Peasants
Barrad's leadership has garnered a lot of attention. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be very positive. Dozens of aspiring adventurers enter our lands, seeking to destroy the illustrious Pentarchy. Potential Enemies
There is no way around it. Our costal neighbors have long considered us to be a threat, and if we do nothing but sit idly by they will eventually try to eliminate that threat.
Wittenland was once Silver Star's home. Before paranoia and persecution drove him into exile. Now, the most powerful creature in existence, Silver Star can finally claim his rightful place on the Wittenland throne.
As powerful as Silver Star now is, even he cannot overcome a sickness of the mind. The Griffon Cossacks which drove Silver Star down the path of darkness still lurk in his dreams and haunt his daily thoughts. We must eliminate the root of the problem if this waking nightmare is ever going to end!
While our armies have been every expansionistic as of late, it would be wise to enact measures to keep our newfound gains. By constructing an immense line of fortifications, and with our undead soldiers keeping a restless vigil, we will become nigh invulnerable to any foreign threats.

Across Barrad there are those who frown upon working in factories, toiling on machines and preferring instead their magics. For a griffon like Leopold, this disrespect of iron and steel shall not stand. Let them learn the might of machines as they work double shifts!
The foundational clockworks of the great project before Leopold will not be the titans, but rather the swarms of tiny, almost insect-size machines who can move as a swarm, and prepare the ground for the great factories that will arise.
"Good enough" does not exist, and the factories will keep being refined, over and over, until we've reached the very apex of industrial capacity. Leopold will not stop until he can grasp for perfection itself!
Magic and technology is one thing, and the crystal additions to the clockworks will make them harder, better, faster, stronger than ever. It will poison the earth, but that is of little concern when there is progress to be made.
The flesh is weak, and weakness is not welcome in the great factories that tower high above Barrad's blasted earth. The weak mortals will be cast out, and the factories will become fully automated bodies of clockworks and gears, all working on their own.
The clockworks are learning, and they are adapting. The attrition caused by travelling through Barrad had made them rethink their methods, and they now dig beneath the surface, so that the trains and the transports can flow without distruption.

Work From Dawn To Dusk
Oh ye workers hear the bell toll! It is time for your shifts, strike the anvil, work your production lines and work till your legs ache! If we are to survive then we must work day and night!
Leopold has found that when workers are near crystals, something changes within them. They work faster, better and longer. With this knowledge he has gotten his workers to build a new factory over a crystal deposit, though at the speed they work they might as well be working two factories in one! This will surely aid the war effort.
